The Healthcare Equality Network (HEN), comprised of Dr. Benjamin Chavis, Jr., the Frederick Douglass Foundation, the Black Women’s Health Imperative, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, and Dr. Julianne Malveaux, hosted a virtual town hall about the impacts of environmental racism. They spoke with representatives from the Sierra Club Virginia Chapter and other local environmental experts on how this is happening right now in Virginia with the Green Ridge Mega-Landfill, and how it can be stopped.
